Carlos was Managing Director and Associate Partner at Banco Itau BB for 8 years acting as Global Co-Head of Equities. Before that, he worked as a Portfolio Manager for Merrill Lynch GSRG in London managing a long/short Equity fund for Emerging Markets. Carlos has more than 25 years of experience, having worked in São Paulo, New York and London. He graduated in Accounting from PUC-RS and holds a master’s degree in Finance from Insper-SP.

João was Managing Director and Partner at Itaú BBA for almost 30 years, responsible for credit analysis, debt structuring, and portfolio management. He has been working at the bank since its foundation as BBA Creditanstalt. He graduated in Public Administration and holds a master’s degree in Finance and Economics both from FGV-EAESP.

Fernanda was a credit lawyer at Vision Brazil Investments with extensive experience in agribusiness. Specialized in business and corporate law with na emphasis on contracts, foreign trade, and credit structuring. Before that, Fernanda was responsible for credit recovery at Citibank, Banco Real and Funcef. She graduated in Law from PUC-Campinas and holds a master’s degree in Economics of Law with a minor in Corporate Law from FGV-SP.

José was Director at Barclays PLC for 14 years, where he was Head of Structuring in Brazil for 7 years responsible for all macro and credit structured transactions for corporate and institutional clients. During his time at Barclays, he also worked as a Rates Trader responsible for the global institutional client flow business in Brazil local sovereign bonds. Before that, he was a Senior Manager at the bank supporting the proprietary and client flow desk on its risk figures and P&L. He graduated in Economics from FEA-USP and holds a MBA degree from Insper-SP.

Frederico was a Senior Credit Manager for Banco Bradesco and Head of Large Corporate Credit Analysis in HSBC Brazil. Before that, he was a Credit and Corporate Research Manager at Banco Pine. With more than 20 years of experience in credit analysis, Frederico also worked for Banco Itaú BBA, Société Générale and Unibanco. He graduated in Production Engineering from Poli-USP and holds a master’s degree in Economics from Insper-SP. He also holds the CNPI certificate.

Was Portfolio Manager of High Grade Credit Funds at Bradesco Asset Management and HSBC Global Asset Management for 18 years, with more than BRL 30 bi under management. He also worked in Banco Crefisul and FonteCindams´ treasury desks. Carlos holds a bachelor´s degree in business administration with emphasis on Foreign Trade from Universidade Ibirapuera and a Finance MBA from FIA USP.

Was Analysis Superintendent at Bradesco Asset Management. Carlos was previously Head of Latin American Credit and Equity Analysis at HSBC Asset Management and was also Adjunct Director of Credit of Banco CCF Brasil and worked in the equities team at ABN Amro Real. Lima holds a bachelors degree in Economics from PUC SP and Finance MBA from USP.

Nathan joined Quasar in February, 2020 due to the merger of Galloway. He co-founded Galloway in 2005 and before that he worked in Convenção (a Brazilian Broker Dealer) and was responsible for EM Debt – International Fixed Income, developing the international trading desk. He also worked as an entrepreneur on Internet projects and at The Nash Fund as a partner and PM being responsible for its US equities, Forex and Fixed Income allocations. Nathan holds a BSBA from Boston University (Boston, USA) and a Master’s degree in Finance from IESA (Instituto Estudios Superiores de Administration, Caracas, Venezuela).

Ulisses joined Quasar in February, 2020 due to the merger of Galloway, where he was responsible to manage Quasar Emerging Markets High Yield Bond Fund. Before that, he worked in FI Sales at Morgan Stanley in London and at Planner. He also worked for Citigroup in New York, as a Senior Investment Officer of fixed income in Emerging Markets and at Safra Bank of NY as Assistant Treasurer. Ulisses started his career in 1996 at ED&F Man. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and International Business of New York University.

José was Quantitative Research Superintendent and Portfolio Manager at Itaú Asset Management. He holds a bachelor´s degree in Naval Engineering from Poli-USP, with MSc by the Sloan School of Management/MIT and doctorate degree in Statistics from IME/USP. He holds the CGA (Brazilian) certificate.

Gustavo started at Quasar in July 2021 with the incorporation of Tropos and has been part of the fund’s management since 2019. With more than 20 years of experience in the market, from 2012 to 2019, he managed several funds at Itaú Asset Management as Itaú Phoenix and Momento, Ibovespa/IBX, infrastructure and dividends, and for over 10 years he was a partner and analyst at Sloane Robinson Investment Management (Hedge Fund with a focus on Equity, Global and Emerging Markets). Master in Finance & Investments from the University of Nottingham and BA in Economics from the University of Indianapolis.

Gabriel joined Quasar in July of 2021 with the incorporation of Tropos and is part of the management team since 2017. With more than 20 years of experience in the equities market, he was Partner, Analyst and Portfolio Manager at EOS Valor FIA fund (EOS Investimentos) and was one of the first members of the equity team at M Square, currently named Velt. He was also an analyst at Itaú Unibancos´ Sell Side. Gabriel holds a bachelor´s degree in Economics from Insper.

With experience in credit risk, Caio analyzed different high grade companies in sectors of energy utilities, logistics, and transportation at Banco Santander. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Science and Technology and is currently graduating in Aerospace Engineering at Universidade Federal do ABC.

She was Portfolio Specialist at Bradesco Asset Management and Relationship Manager at HSBC Global Asset Management where she worked distributing Investment funds for all segments. She also worked in Wealth Management at Advis Investimentos and in Corporate Banking at Bradesco. Marcia graduated in Business Administration from FGV-EAESP and holds a MBA in Finance from Insper-SP. She is a CFP professional and holds the CGA certificate.

Formerly Thiago was an investment specialist at Itaú Unibanco, where he worked in investment distribution for the high-income segment. Before that, he was part of the management team at CCR Autoban, coordinating the Road Conservation area. Graduated in Civil Engineering from UFV and post graduated in Finance, Investments and Banking from PUCRS.
